Privacy policy

This site is a private, non-commercial website. It sets no cookies, uses no analytics or tracking services, embeds no social media plugins, and loads no fonts or scripts from third-party servers. The little data that is processed is described below.

The controller within the meaning of Article 4(7) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is:

Server log files

Each time this site is accessed, the hosting provider's web server automatically records information that your browser transmits. This comprises the page or file requested, the date and time of the request, the amount of data transferred, the referring page, your browser type and version, your operating system, and your IP address.

This data is not merged with other data sources, and it is not used to identify you as a person. It is processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. My legitimate interest lies in delivering the site reliably and in being able to investigate technical faults and attacks. Log files are deleted after seven days at the latest. Longer storage may occur in individual cases, for example following an attack on the server.

The site is hosted by ALL-INKL.COM – Neue Medien Münnich, Inh. René Münnich, Hauptstraße 68, 02742 Friedersdorf, Germany, who processes this data on my behalf under a data processing agreement pursuant to Article 28 GDPR.

Encryption

This site uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the "https://" at the start of the address line. While encryption is active, the data you transmit cannot be read by third parties.

Contacting me by e-mail

If you write to me, the content of your message together with your e-mail address and any other details you provide will be stored so that I can deal with your enquiry and answer any follow-up questions. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, or Article 6(1)(b) GDPR where your message relates to the preparation or performance of a contract.

I do not pass this data on without your consent. It is deleted once your enquiry has been dealt with and no statutory retention periods require otherwise. You may withdraw your consent to storage at any time by informing me; the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal is unaffected.

Links to other websites

This site links to YouTube, Google Maps, the National Film Board of Canada, the Internet Archive and other external sites. These are ordinary links: no data is transmitted to those providers until you click one. From that point on, the privacy policy of the site concerned applies, and I have no influence over how it handles your data.

Panoramas and maps

The panoramic views are displayed by a viewer that runs in your browser. The viewer, its scripts and the panorama images are all delivered from this server. JavaScript must be enabled for the viewer to work.

Some panoramas additionally offer a map view showing where the picture was taken. This map is provided by Google Maps, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The map is not loaded when the panorama opens. It is loaded only once you click the map button in the viewer's control bar. From that moment your IP address and technical information about your browser are transmitted to Google, and Google may transfer that data to servers in the United States. I have no influence over the further processing of this data.

The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR; my legitimate interest lies in showing visitors where a panorama was taken. If you would rather not have data sent to Google, simply do not open the map – the panorama itself works without it. Google's privacy policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether data concerning you is processed and to access that data (Article 15), to have inaccurate data corrected (Article 16), to have data erased (Article 17), to have processing restricted (Article 18), to receive your data in a portable form (Article 20), and to withdraw consent you have given at any time.

Right to object: where data is processed on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, as with the server log files described above, you have the right to object at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation, in accordance with Article 21 GDPR.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. The authority responsible for me is the Bavarian Data Protection Authority (Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht, Promenade 27, 91522 Ansbach).

No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making or profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR takes place on this site.
